Kamptal, Austria
Produced from an 850 year old Cistercien monastery in the Kamptal. Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, and Sankt Laurent grapes grown at high altitude along the Danube river. Berger Zweigelt 2020 $8 glass/$25.99 bottle
Kremstal, Austria
Zweigelt is a true Austrian creation, engineered by Dr. Fritz Zweigelt at the Klosterneuburg Viticultural School in 1922. This variety is a crossing of Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent, and offers incredible versatility in terms of food and wine pairing. Boasting fragrant notes of red cherries, cocoa, cracked black pepper, and wild raspberries, this wine has soft tannins, velvety acidity, and a smooth, dry finish.
